Obituary
MADISON - David B. Stickels, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, due to complications from dementia and diabetes.
David loved going to Sturgis for 30 years with his buddies. He enjoyed jet skiing on the Wisconsin River, walking his "forever dog,” Taffy, and escaping to Florida during the winter. His mischievous leprechaun spirit will be missed.
Special thanks to all the health care providers, especially Donna Lange who helped keep David at home for as long as possible, and to "Inch" (Sonya) and many other close friends.
David leaves behind his spouse, Rachel Lasecki; siblings, Kevin (Linda) Stickels and Tina (Alan) Freund; daughters, Laura (Rob) Godfrey and Amy Stickels; and grandchildren, Jordan, Wyatt and Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Trymby Stickels; and brother, Jim (Lydia) Stickels.
A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 7591, 301 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
