Obituary

MOUNT HOREB - Monica Hope Jenson, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on Nov. 17, 1937, the daughter of Benford and Hannah Jelle.


Monica loved to bake and sew. She made many quilts over the years for Quilts of Valor for Veterans.


Monica is survived by her children, Randy Jenson (Kim Marty) of Blanchardville, Cary (Jake) and Cindy Jenson of Mount Horeb, and Cindy and Tim Neuroth of Great Falls, Mont.; grandchildren, Holly (Dave) Prather, Leigh (Jeffrey) Ellingson, Samantha (Dallas) Engeldinger and Tracy Arndt; and five great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vergene Jenson; daughter, Vicki Jenson; and brother, DuPont Jelle.

Aunt Monica was always so joyful when we gathered as family. Her smile was infectious. Memories of her and being at the farm will always be special for me. She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky to know her.

Oh my gosh! I just called Monica on Dec 3rd because I hadn't talked to her for a couple of years She was such a lovely woman. We worked together and hung out alot. I would walk over to her house in Madison with my two weiner dogs and she would always have a dish of water down for them. My condolences to all her children.
