Robert Bryce Adcock
June 11, 1945 - December 12, 2022
Obituary
MADISON - Robert “Bryce” Adcock, age 77, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022. He was born on June 11, 1945, in Jackson County, Mo., the son of Bryce G. and Geraldine (Eldridge) Adcock.
Bryce grew up in Southern California. He graduated from Reseda High School in 1963 and went to Pierce College. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a medic during the Vietnam War. Bryce was united in marriage to Jolene Adcock on July 25, 2003, in Las Vegas.
Bryce was a car enthusiast and loved working in the auto industry for almost 50 years. During his retirement, he continued to be a “car guy” picking up vehicles all over the United States with Jolene as his co-pilot for Lake City Auto. Previously he worked with his good friends, Lance and Debs, at Superformance and Hillbank Motors after purchasing one of their fabulous Cobras (yes, he was hired after purchasing his Cobra from them).
A dedicated father, he enjoyed watching his son, Joel, pursue high school sports, skate hockey and run marathons. Bryce was an avid sports enthusiast, having lettered in high school football. He continued to play recreational slow pitch and enjoyed playing golf as an adult. Baseball, football and hockey were his favorite spectator sports.
Bryce loved life. He loved traveling with Jolene to Jamaica, Mexico and all around the United States. Bryce was a Harley fan and owned a Softail Deuce that took him on an adventure from Southern California to Sturgis, along with his good friend, Lance, and Lance’s two sons. He moved back from California to be close to his son and grandchildren. He fiercely loved his family and friends, more than anything.
Bryce is survived by his wife, Jolene; son, Joel (Jamie) Adcock; stepsons, Joshua (Tara) Disch and Justin (Hannah) Disch; and sisters, Dianne (Jim) Davis and Sheri Nussbaum. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his younger sister, Roxanne.
Per Bryce’s request there will be no formal service, but plans are being made for a celebration of life in June of 2023 in the Madison area. Specific date and location will be published on this website and social media. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
