Obituary

MADISON - Our beloved angel gained her wings on Dec. 10, 2022. Micaela’s wings were ready for her, but our hearts were not. She was truly the most beautiful person anyone could meet. Any person she came in contact with she touched.

Micaela’s smile was as big and bright as her heart was. She always put everyone before herself. The most caring and loving person you would meet. She will be missed deeply and never forgotten.

Micaela Peterson was born on April 16, 1985, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of Michael Renee Young and Shirley Taylor. She graduated from East High School in 2003. She met Lawrence Peterson through mutual friends on April 25, 2005, and they were married on May 4, 2013, at the Kalahari.

Micaela worked in customer service at WPS and owned her own business, MP Elite Hustle, where she made t-shirts and posters. She always made sure her children’s sports teams were recipients. Micaela planned elaborate birthday parties for her children and always went above and beyond in everything she did.  She was truly a Supermom.

Micaela is survived by her husband, Lawrence; three beautiful children, Lawrence II., LaMarri and LaMyiah; mother, Shirley Taylor; stepfather, Arturo Almeida; brother, James (Dana) Young; dear friends, Quenton Jones, Falonda McCoy, Ashley Taft, Nikki Brown-Woppert and Ashley Sayles; father-in-law, Alfred Peterson; brother-in-law, Edward (Penny) Heimann; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Young; and mother-in-law, Linda Peterson.

A celebration of life will take place at THE EAST SIDE CLUB, 3735 Monona Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

“She was my rock, my backbone, and the key to our family.  You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.”

We Love You Always and Forever.

Until we meet again rest in the sweetest of peace. We will all be here to love and watch your children. Knowing you in what was a much too short of time was an honor. Your smile will never be forgotten and how lucky was this earth to have had you here you made it all just so much brighter. We love you.

Such a beautiful young woman, I didn't know you, but I saw where you had a family. I recently lost my husband. I just wanted to send a prayer to your family, I know their pain. Losing a spouse is hard enough, but watching your children go through the pain of losing a parent is a job for superman, but with God on your side. May God continue to hold them up and strengthen them in this painful moment. We may be stranger, but we all have something in common sometimes. RIP MY BEAUTIFUL SISTER.
