I don't think I've ever seen an obit that shined such light on Judy's special character as well as this -- and you guys had one hellofa challenge encompassing Judy's life into a few hundred words. Bravo!

Judy was such a big support to my wife when she was dying of cancer. I hope Lavender and Judy’s spirits are somewhere in a garden laughing together. Thinking of you Ken and all the family. Tanya Mudrick

I love this line especially - "She worked hard to recognize her failings and have an open heart, always striving to improve things in the ways she could." Beautiful obituary for a beautiful life.

Dear Erica, Andy, Gwendolyn, and Hazel,
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
This tribute to your mother is beautiful, Erica. Clearly, the apple does not fall far from the tree.
Judy lives in you, Erica, and in the work that you are doing at our magical little school.
Sending you my love,
Kristin

Ken, Erica, and Kai:
Our deepest condolences on the passing of Judy. We were sorry to hear of her extended hospitalization this year and now her passing. She fought through her diagnosis until the end. She was a great neighbor to us during the 27 years that we lived next door.
Judy lived such an admirable life, squeezing a lot into her 71 years. It is fitting that she would pass from this life on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
May her memory and time heal us all,
Tom Dawson & Mary Rose Teves
