Obituary

MADISON - Chad Replinger, age 51, of Madison, unexpectedly passed away from a sudden heart attack on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022. He was born on June 14, 1971, in Madison. Chad also lived in LaCrosse and Colorado but spent most of his years in Madison.


Chad graduated from LaFollette High School in 1989. He enjoyed going biking, hiking, swimming and camping. Chad was a music lover and often played his guitars. He also loved to cook.  He enjoyed reading and was a lifelong learner. Chad was exceptionally social and had a very large friend group. Chad loved traveling and was quite adventurous.


Chad exuded love, gratitude and a deep sense of compassion, leaving a positive impact on his community and people he met. Chad was a very warm, honest, generous, open-hearted, fun-loving person and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.


Chad is survived by his sister, Barbara Replinger; two nieces, Char Belgum, and Bronwyn Belgum; three nephews, Justin Belgum, Heath Belgum, and Calvin Belgum, and so many special friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Replinger; grandmother, DeLoris (Richard) Replinger; and aunt, Maureen McCredie.


A graveside service will be held at NATURAL PATH SANCTUARY, 2299 Spring Rose Road, Verona at 2 p.m. on Tuesday December 6, 2022.

I met Chad in Highschool, although we were never close he left a lasting impression on me. Over the years I would see him occasionally and he always had smile when we met. Lately I really enjoyed seeing his posts on Facebook of the fabulous meals he would make with/for his friends. RIP Chad Sean Kuzdas

I am soooo late but I cannot believe this. Chad was such an amazing individual. Always so friendly, kind and just a great person♥️ he will definitely be missed, he always made conversations with my husband and I, he always always said hi! We will miss his morning waves & that smile of his 😭😭😭 just saw him last month for a maintenance repair and we talked about our futures and what he was working towards. We’re so heartbroken and sad, he definitely wasn’t just a maintenance guy to us but a friend ♥️ you’ll be missed Chad 😥 rest in peace

Chad made us feel welcome when we moved into the house next door to him. He helped us adjust into Midwestern living; he always looked out for us and checked in regularly. He would share food with us and kept us up to date on the happenings in the community. The last night I saw him, he was in our front yard listening for an owl. We listened together for a short time and were delighted when we heard the hoots. When I said goodnight that evening, I didn't think it'd be the last time. Chad is very missed, and we are thankful we had time with him as our neighbor and friend.
