Obituary

COTTAGE GROVE - Beverly Ann Kalish, age 75, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at her home. She was born on April 20, 1947, in Madison, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Redepenning) Rodefeld.


Beverly was a beloved family member and friend to many. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with those she loved. Between volunteering at the polls and working for the Monona Grove School District, Bev touched the lives of many.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Tina (Jeff) Perry and Michelle Vinge; grandchildren, Joshua Perry, Tyler (Anne) Perry, Hunter Vinge, Jackson Perry, Gerald (Lynn) Rodefeld, Jane (Noel) Rudie, Daryl Rodefeld, Sue (Denny) Opheim, Cosette Rodefeld Swalheim; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy; and siblings, Lois, Jean, Dean and Richard Rodefeld.


A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be held at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery at a later date.


Memorials may be gifted in Beverly’s name to Agrace HospiceCare and Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Although we did not get to know Bev well we work with her daughter Tina. We are so grateful to Bev for having such an awesome daughter. She is a dear friend and colleague to us all and epitomizes the word “love” in her everyday life. She lovingly took care of her Mom in her final days in a way that was an inspiration to us all. Thank you Bev for giving us Tina and thank you Tina for all you do to care for us all. Blessings and deepest condolences to all of Bev’s family in this difficult time.
