I'm so sad to learn of Mark's passing. He was a great friend of mine at Covance and I truly can't believe he's gone so soon. I'm so sorry for everyone's loss and truly send my heart to his entire family and friends.

Here was an attempt I made last year to preserve the shamrock I was given in epoxy. Alas. Handicrafts were never my thing. One of the best- and most interesting- days of my life was getting that message back: “Oof. Pretty big news for a Tuesday,” and symmetrically, one of the worst was finding this obituary several days ago. The first was thirty-five years too late and the latter thirty-five too early. Didn’t know what to write. Still don’t. Have to get used to the fact that the guy I’d ask to help process so much of what I’m feeling or at least generate some contextually appropriate platitudes isn’t available. Dear Fraziers, I wish you all the strength and peace in the Universe. Mark was such a positive influence in my life and his memory and influence will persist. I will sorely miss his insights.

Mark was the goalie for a soccer team I played (Have Fun FC) for several years. He was always such a gentle soul but always determined and a fierce competitor. I remember one game where Mark did not back out of a play against an attacker and ended up breaking his face and having to go to the hospital! After he recovered he was right back in the goal. What a guy. I really cannot believe he is gone. He was a great teammate and I want to send all the best to his family and loved ones. I will definitely miss him.
