I first met John when I joined the Fitchburg Senior Center Friends board of directors over 6 years ago. He was the Vice President. He worked on the Pancake Breakfast committee, helping as the procurement person, working with local grocery stores to get the best prices on pancake mix, syrup, sausages, eggs, and all the other things needed. Even after John finished his commitment to the Friends, I contacted him by email. He helped me solve an issue with a later Pancake Breakfast. He was a good guy and made us laugh. So sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathies are extended to John's family. I had the pleasure of working with John at Ahrens Cadillac many years ago. He had a great sense of humor. Linda Davis-Brown

I worked with John many years ago at Ahrens Cadillac - Olds, and as many will tell you, once you were friends with him you were friends for good. He loved when I'd occasionally join him on the golf course, but mostly because I'm terrible and he'd always beat me. I was blessed to reconnect with him over the last year and will remember him fondly.

I was deeply saddened to hear of John passing. Every year I looked for John at our high school reunion. I certainly wish we could have connected. I have great memories as we were trying out for our high school baseball team together. May God Bless you John Sincerely, Mike Slepekis
