Obituary
MADISON - Nicholas Gee, age 20, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. He was born on Earth Day, April 22, 2002, and he embraced taking care of the earth. He wanted to someday visit Egypt and tour the pyramids, and recently was able to enjoy the earth by going on a hot air balloon ride.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Weldon Gee and Stacy Thompson; brothers, Torren Thompson and Justin (Nahomi Briones) Heron; nieces, Aria and Lily Thompson; maternal grandma, Penny Lamb; maternal grandpa, Thomas Thompson; paternal grandma, Denise Gee; aunts, Danikka Gee, Eboni Gee and Becky (Terry Bast) Thompson; two cousins, Donovan Gee and Kyah Thompson; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Gene Lamb; maternal grandma, Karen Baker; paternal grandpa, Weldon Gee, Jr.; and aunt, Dory Thompson.
Nicholas, from the moment you were born, your mom and I were overjoyed! We thought you had blue eyes. You were the most beautiful human being I had ever seen! We were amazed how quickly you found your food source so quickly. So smart you were. You couldn’t stop scratching your face and we had to get you infant mittens the size of my thumbs to keep you from hurting your little face. You were always quiet but observant. Loved hanging out with your brothers, enjoying family dinners, watching movies, playing your video games, collecting sport cards, shoes, hanging out with your friends from school. Our heart was filled with anticipation and love. I’m grateful for all of our memories and every moment we shared. You confided in us your hope and dreams and we encouraged you along the way. We will miss your kisses you gave, hugs, our talks, playing basketball, watching you bond with your brothers. But most of all, I’ll miss your little hands holding mine when you were a youngster. They will forever be printed in my heart. My physical time with you is over now. So, son you put those hands that I held for 20 years, one on your aunt Dory and your grandpa and guide them along this journey until I can hold you again. Tell God, “Thank you,” for me. And tell him how grateful, lucky and privileged we feel that he chose us to be your Dad and Mommy and we hope we made him proud. And we will help guide those who you left behind until we are called up to be with you. And I can’t wait to be with you Nick-Nack. I hold you with my whole entire heart. Love Dad & Mommy.
