Aaron Cruz Harmon

MIDDLETON - Aaron Cruz Harmon, age 7, of Middleton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at American Family Children's Hospital. He was born on Oct. 30, 2015, in Madison, the son of Jose Cruz Pedraza and Lindsey Harmon. Aaron was diagnosed with Leukemia in October of 2020. He began treatment immediately and went into remission one month after he was diagnosed. He continued receiving treatment over the past two years and would have finished in December. Throughout the entire time, he was so loving, strong and positive. Aaron contracted a viral infection that was too much for his weakened immune system and passed away with his loving parents by his side. Aaron’s beautiful soul is now in the hands of God.

From a young age, Aaron loved spending time with his big brother, Andrew. He always wanted to do everything that Andrew did and Andrew was such an amazing role model and best friend. His joy for puzzles, the Ninja Turtles and playing with Legos turned into playing video games, watching YouTube videos, and a love for Pikachu and Baby Yoda as he grew. Aaron loved being at school and had a special connection with his amazing teachers. He loved reading, drawing and math. You could easily spot Aaron in a crowd just by looking for his favorite Pikachu sweatshirt that he wore as often as possible. He had a special connection with his cat, Nikko, and was the only person allowed to scratch his belly. He loved spending time with his family - whether in Madison or Mexico - being outside, wrestling with his uncles, cuddling with his Grandma, adventures with his Grandpa, giving big bear hugs and anything else as long as he was surrounded by the people he loved. Aaron had a unique connection with each person he loved and he poured his love into all of us.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Jose Cruz Pedraza and Lindsey Harmon; brother, Andrew Cruz Harmon; grandmothers, Dawn Dash and Regina Pedraza Tapia; grandfathers, Gary (Linda) Harmon and Nolberto Cruz Rosalio; great-grandmothers, Eunice (Larry) Poteete and Maria Rosalio Ramirez; great-grandfather, Kenneth Harmon; uncles, Dustin (Zoe Schuler) Harmon, Joaquin Cruz Pedraza, Jesus Cruz Pedraza and Fernando Cruz Pedraza; aunts, Daniela Cruz Pedraza and Nancy Cruz Pedraza; great-uncle, Richard Bartz; great-aunt, Elizabeth Guilfoyle; cousins, Benjamin Bartz, Thomas Bartz, Fernando Cruz Alarcon, Angel Cruz Alarcon, Maria Guadalupe Zarsa Cruz, Jose Zarsa Cruz, Mariana Gonzalez Cruz, Julio Gonzalez Cruz, Roxana Gonzalez Cruz and Aziquiel Cruz Barrera; and many relatives and friends in the United States and Mexico.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

MIDDLETON - Aaron Cruz Harmon, de 7 años, de Middleton, falleció el miércoles 9 de noviembre de 2022 en el hospital American Family Children's. Nació el 30 de octubre de 2015 en Madison, hijo de José Cruz Pedraza y Lindsey Harmon. A Aaron le diagnosticaron leucemia en octubre de 2020. Comenzó el tratamiento de inmediato y entró en remisión un mes después del diagnóstico. Continuó recibiendo tratamiento durante los últimos dos años y habría terminado en diciembre. Durante todo el tiempo, fue tan amoroso, fuerte y positivo. Aaron contrajo una infección viral que fue demasiado para su sistema inmunológico debilitado y falleció con sus amados padres a su lado. El alma hermosa de Aaron está ahora en las manos de Dios.

Desde muy joven, a Aaron le encantaba pasar tiempo con su hermano mayor, Andrew. Siempre quiso hacer todo lo que hacía Andrew y Andrew fue un modelo increíble y fue su mejor amigo. Su alegría por los rompecabezas, las Tortugas Ninja y jugar con legos se convirtió en jugar videojuegos, mirar videos de YouTube y un amor por Pikachu y Baby Yoda a medida que crecía. A Aaron le encantaba estar en la escuela y tenía una conexión especial con sus increíbles maestros. Le encantaba leer, dibujar y las matemáticas. Podrías identificar fácilmente a Aaron en un grupo de personas con solo buscar su sudadera favorita de Pikachu que usaba con la mayor frecuencia posible. Tenía una conexión especial con su gato, Nikko, y era la única persona a la que se le permitía rascarle la panza. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia, ya sea en Madison o México, estar al aire libre, jugar con sus tíos, acurrucarse con su abuela, aventuras con su abuelo, dar grandes abrazos de oso y cualquier otra cosa, siempre y cuando estuviera rodeado de las personas que amaba.
