OREGON, Wis. - David Kenneth Ryburn, age 51, of Oregon, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, at his home in Oregon, Wis.
David was born in Sycamore, Ill., to Diana and James Ryburn on June 21, 1971. He attended school in Waterman, Ill., and graduated in 1988. David’s most notable and proud place of employment was Nation’s Pizza where he wrestled the cheese machine he called “Medusa.” In fact, one day he ground 17,500 pounds of cheese and wrestled Medusa the whole way. He was so proud to be a part of putting out quality products for the community. David loved the people he worked with.
David spent most of his time listening to music, drawing, and watching wrestling, hockey and football. His favorite topic of discussion was recalling memories of all the people and events that touched his life. David was kind, generous, and fiercely loyal. If he could make you laugh, then his day was made.
David is survived by his sister, Julie (Justin) Germaine; nephew, Tristan Germaine; brothers, Robert Smith and DeWayne (Christa) Ryburn; and his best friend and most loyal supporter, Gae Ann Sonnenberg.
David was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, William and Marian Ryburn and Max and Helen Downing; brother, James “Tug” Ryburn; and his beloved cats, Mr. Peaches and Coosa.
There will be a celebration of life for David at PUB WEST, 100 E. Adams St., Waterman, Ill., from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022.
