Ashly Frenzel

MOUNT HOREB - Ashly Vance Frenzel, age 53, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, peacefully at home. He was born on June 8, 1969, in Monroe, Wis., the son of Anthony Frenzel and Beverly Alm.

Ashly worked at Bassett Tree Care and Landscaping for 21 years. He started out landscaping and worked his way up to become the shop manager, making many friends along the way. His son, Austin, followed in his footsteps and was able to work alongside him for 11 years.

Ashly loved cooking, canning, smoking meat, and was a grill master. He also enjoyed singing karaoke, shooting pool with the boys, hunting, woodworking, and doing puzzles with his daughter, Brooklyn. Ashly appreciated mother nature and being outdoors especially looking at the stars and moon and watching a good thunderstorm roll in. He will be remembered as a great party host who was the life of the room. Ashly liked making people laugh and loved having a good time.

Ashly is survived by his son, Austin James (Kaitlyn McGuire) Frenzel; mother of his son, Karla Taylor; daughter, Brooklyn Rae Frenzel; mother of his daughter, Carly Harris; father, Anthony (Lori) Frenzel, sister, Tonia Frenzel (Marcus Newbern); brother, Tory Frenzel; niece, Myah Rae Winston; aunts; uncles; cousins; father figure, John “Taz” Taylor; best friends, Dan Norris and Weston Tollefson; and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Rae Alm.

A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eight St., Mount Horeb, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022.
