VERONA - Carol Ann Wainwright, age 74, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at the UW Hospital, due to complications from her battle with cancer, with loved ones at her bedside. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on July 18, 1948, to parents Emil and Margaret (Callahan) Panock.
Carol Ann is survived by her five children, Dwayne (Maria) Perkins, Sharon (Sonny) Thompson, Susan Cowan, Helen (Jason) Russell and Jane (Andrew) Redler; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emil and Raymond; sister, Helen; husband, Robert “Bo” Wainwright; and grandson, Dakota.
Carol Ann enjoyed spending time with her cat, Pixie; solving word finds, reading poetry, watching classic movies and listening to classic country music. The thing she loved most was being visited by family and friends.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
