Obituary
RIO - Cynthia Ann Phillips, age 69, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, at Meriter Hospital. She was born in Springfield, Ill., on Sept. 3, 1953.
Cindy was a kind and generous person who loved animals and nature. She will be sadly missed by close friends and family.
Cindy is survived by her father, William Phillips of Madison; mother, JoAnn Thrasher of Springfield, Ill.; brother, Edward (Mareea) Phillips of Downey, Calif.; sister, Marcy Phillips (Marti Eyman) of Springfield; stepbrothers, Bob (Anita) Rauch, Randy Rauch and Rick (Lindsay) Rauch; and stepsister, Ruth Ann (Rob) Weber Gannon. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Jeff Kuzma; stepmother, Kathleen Phillips; and stepsister, Rae Ellen Packard.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, with a light lunch gathering to follow.
