My first day of work at GC, I met Shirley and immediately cranked her off by asking her what country she was from (never heard a Boston accent before) and when I saw the picture she had on her desk of a Shar Pei, asked her if she liked those ugly dogs. Strike 2! But after a time she must have forgiven me and when she started calling me honey, I knew I was ok with her. Over the years we became close. Even after she moved to Florida....we eventually moved to Florida also after visiting her and Bob and fell in love with the park. It was very hard seeing her go thru everything she went thru. When I visited with her, I knew there was a tiny bit of her still here. Rest in peace Shirl, I love you! Bonnie

Shirley was such a sweet lady. I remember the joy in her eyes when she came to visit our farm four legged friends and watch my daughter ride her horse. I know she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Aunt Shirley was one of the most loving people I can remember from my childhood. A real treasure. Wishing all of you peace and love.
