Obituary
FITCHBURG - Patricia Y. “Pat” Allen, age 90, of Fitchburg, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at DeForest Place. She was born on Oct. 20, 1931, in Kenmore, N.Y., the daughter of John Hubbard and Mabel (Nesbitt) Young.
Pat graduated from Kenmore High School in New York and continued her studies at Ohio Wesleyan University where she received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. Pat married Talmadge Edmond Allen on Feb. 28, 1959.
Pat was a member of Wellspring United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge with her Alpha Xi Delta sorority sisters, working crossword puzzles and reading. She and her husband, Tal, enjoyed taking driving trips all over the country.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Julia Allen; two sons, Kent (Abbie) Allen and Bradford (Ann) Allen; three grandsons, Spencer Allen, Bryson Allen and Trent Allen; brother, David (Margaret) Young; sister, Sue (Paul) Atkinson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Allen; her parents; and grandson, Pearce Allen.
A funeral service will be held at WELLSPRING UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5702 South Hill Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be with Talmadge at the Transit Road Cemetery, Albion, N.Y. at a later date.
