MILWAUKEE - Barbara Howe, age 62, of Milwaukee, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.


She was born on December 17, 1959, in Portage, WI, the daughter of Jude Howe and Marilyn (Voigt) Pribbenow.


Barbara was a 1978 graduate of Pardeeville High School.


Barbara worked many years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee.


Barbara enjoyed reading, watching TV and was a Brewers and Packers fan, and especially loved caring for Doodles her dog.


In addition to her mother, Marilyn, survivors include her brother, Tom (Sandy) Howe; three sisters, Peggy (Bob Meade) Howe, Julie (John) Heffelfinger, and Tammy (Bill) Schultz; uncle, Jim Voigt; her friend, Ron Albert; her best friend, Marsha (Bill) Barth and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Danny; nephew, Grant; and stepfather, Dick Pribbenow.


Private family services will be held.

I am so terribly saddened to hear about Barb's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Barb and I lived together for many years in the 80s and I have so many wonderful and fun memories of her. We lived in 2 different upper duplexes on the west side near St. Joseph Hospital. Barb was such a caring and compassionate woman. I loved her sense of humor and her incredible wit!! We had many fun times together. I wish I hadn't lost touch with her when I moved to Racine but living in another city made it hard. She will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
