Obituary
Madison - Ruth B. Hermsdorf, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at her home. She was born on Sept. 17, 1932, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of William and Burdean Knickmeier. Ruth was united in marriage to Gordon Hermsdorf on July 28, 1951. He passed away Dec. 28, 2010.
Ruth was an active lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church and was very active with the Hope Lutheran Church Women. Crafting, crocheting, baking, gardening, and canning were some of her favorite hobbies. Ruth especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her children, Duane (Carol) Hermsdorf and Dean Hermsdorf; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tara), Chad (Heather), Joshua (Kayla), and Emma (Brent Hopp) Hermsdorf; great-grandchildren, Addison, Cayden, Brayden, Riley, Kennedy, and Brady; sister, Norma (Gary) Hanson; sisters-in-law, Janet Koch, and Lillian Hermsdorf (John Clayton). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings and many other family members.
A funeral service will be held at hope lutheran church, 3702 County Roadd AB, McFarland, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will be held at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery following the service.
