What an amazing woman! You are blessed to have had her so many years. First United Methodist is blessed to have the beautiful crèche she gave in memory of her middle daughter. Blessings on you all as you celebrate such a beautiful and full life. Rev Nancy B Childress

Nancy is my (deceased) husband's (Don Temple) cousin. I recall fondly her yearly letters at Christmas time. I did my best to respond in kind. I will miss those letters. My deepest sympathy and prayers go to the family. I made a modest contribution to ChildFund in Nancy's name. I hope Nancy says hi to Don for me.

Nancy exposed me to so many new ideas and played a key role in my spiritual growth after I moved to Madison. I loved learning from her as we met weekly in a small group at First Church. I am so very grateful for her guidance and teaching; she will forever be in my heart.

What a beautiful recap of Nancy’s life. I can remember being so impressed with Nancy. She was our church friend and she and Bob lovingly prepared the beautiful crèche given to our church in memory of their little girl. She gave great attention to detail, fixing and repainting any chips in the crèche figures. She took flute lessons with our son Tommy’s instructor and I know music was important to Nancy. I remember knowing about the mission trips she and Bob took to Africa University and South America. She and Bob hosted a beautiful dinner for one of the leaders of Africa University. What a beautiful legacy she leaves for us all.
