Obituary

STOUGHTON - Barbara Ann Kittleson, age 80, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, during a brief stay at Skaalen Heritage Center. She was born on Aug. 10, 1942, in Stoughton, the daughter of Earl and Regina (Esser) Anderson. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Kittleson in 1958, up until LeRoy’s passing in 2007.

Barbara worked in the medical records department for Skaalen Nursing & Rehabilitation for 55 years, a job she was truly passionate about. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially Helen, her childhood friend, and Kay from Rice Lake, Wis., along with the newfound friends of the Vennevoll community. But her greatest joy were her grandchildren. Barb supported her grandchildren in all of their events.

Barbara is survived by her son, Dennis (Amy) Kittleson; grandchildren, Chelsea Kittleson and Kolten (fiancé, Lauren) Kittleson; sister, Joann (Ron) Grimm; brother, Jim Anderson; sisters-in-law, Judy Anderson and Janice (Rick) Davie; and brother-in-law, DuWayne Kittleson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; daughter, Teresa; brother, Earl Anderson Jr.; and sisters-in-law,, Jane Anderson and Judy Kittleson.

A celebration of life will be held at the Otis Sampson American Legion Post 59, 803 N. Page St., Stoughton, from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022.

Barb was a dear friend for over 50 years. We had some great times, and we did some naughty things too lol. We hung out in the supple room the last half hour of work, it was a long time before we got caught. We had too much fun once in awhile, and Barb would say "DEBORAH". I knew then that she was getting mad. Every deer hunting season, several of us would go to Milw shopping and out to eat. And we had fun and great laughs. There was not a time that Barb refused to help someone, and she made the best white spaghetti. Pot luck time, she would just look at me lol. I enjoyed the times us couples would go out for supper. LeRoy always picked on me and Barb was right there to tell him to stop it. They were a great pair. So I am saying good bye now Barb, until we meet again, and raise some hell together. God bless you, you will be missed. To Dennis and family, you were very blessed to have a Mom like Barb. Thoughts and prayers to you.
