Elizabeth "Jean" Davis

STOUGHTON - Elizabeth “Jean” Davis, age 90, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on July 20, 1934, in Janesville, the daughter of Raymond and Faye (Francis) Swartz.

Jean graduated from Orfordville High School in 1952 with honors. On November 22, 1952, Jean married Darwin W. Davis. She was a farm wife and worked at Morning Side Nursing Home as a CNA for many years.

Jean was a member of Stoughton Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Daniel (Mary Jo) Davis, Suzanne (Jerry) Trefftzs and Matthew (Dawn) Davis; daughter-in-law, Paula Davis; grandchildren, Jessica (Bruce) Coursen, Jennifer (Steve) Heckman, Natalie (fiancé, Rob Frederickson) Erickson, Betsy (Matt) Towns, Mari Davis, Thomas (Katie) Trefftzs, Aaron (Kristi) Trefftzs, Eric Davis and Bradley Davis; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brooklynn and Lincoln Coursen, Brayden, Colton and Katelyn Heckman, Levi, Eva and Olivia Erickson, Malcolm and Noah Towns, Lydia Davis, Gabriel, Logan, Kaidyn and Brantley Trefftzs and Parker and Ronen Trefftzs; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Raymond; brothers, Raymond and William; husband, Darwin; and son, Timothy.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with grandson Matt Towns presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
