I worked with Ted at the state Capitol and he was always super responsible, hard-working and yet always took the time to have a good laugh with his friends and colleagues there. He was one of the people I definitely considered a friend from my time on the Sergeant’s staff and this news is a terrible loss for the community and for those who loved him, and you have my deepest condolences. But in my heart and mind he will always be about 21 years old, smiling and laughing. Steve Kelly

I shared many memorable moments with my Brother Tim and Ted playing basketball, waterskiing on lake Mendota and watching sporting events. I remember when Tim was abroad and I was on spaight street, Ted would inspire me to get out in middle of winter for jogs on icy side walks up the hill to orton park.
Ted always had a jovial and uplifting personality. He will really be missed.

I had the pleasure of being one of Ted's Field Training Officers. He was so inquisitive and ready to learn. He showed kindness, compassion, professionalism, and respect to everyone he came in contact with. I remember thinking the department "got it right" when they hired him. Sending prayers to his family and friends.

Ted was my field training officer, he was always kind, direct and professional. Unfortunately, I did not get to work with him after training, but he definitely shaped my perspective as a police officer. Thank you. May you be at peace now.

I admire Ted for his willingness to help people.
As a person with Parkinson's Disease, knowing Ted would give his time to help others like me is so important to us. We'll miss you, Captain America!
