DANE - David L. Wipperfurth, age 68, of Dane, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022. He was born on March 12, 1954, in Madison, Wis., the son of Norbert and Margaret (Rankin) Wipperfurth.
David was a 1972 graduate of Lodi High School and then attended the UW-Madison. David owned and operated S & W Construction for 39 years until his death. He served as Village President of Dane for almost 20 years.
David had a variety of interests and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. What he loved most was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
David is survived by his children, Malissa (Brandon) Turner and Brandon (Emilie) Wipperfurth; five grandchildren, Odyssey and Cyrus Coyote, and Gage, Colt and Alaska Turner; three brothers, Gary (Cindy), Norbert (Mona) and Joe (Linda); sister-in-law, Cathy Wipperfurth; brother-in-law, Wayne Wolf; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jeanene (Roger) Huber, Patricia Wolf; and his brother, Michael Wipperfurth.
A gathering celebrating David's life will be held at the VILLAGE OF DANE TOWN HALL, 210 N. Main St., Dane, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
