Jason Richard Lewis

BROOKLYN - Jason Lewis, age 45, of Brooklyn, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was born on January 22, 1977 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Charles Lewis and Susan (Robinson) Lewis.

Jason graduated from Oregon High School in 1996. He married Fonda Kernen Lewis on June 10, 2000 at Olbrich Gardens. Jason worked as an HVAC service technician for Hillestad Heating and Cooling for 22 years. He was a member of the Brooklyn Fire Department for 14 years. In his free time, Jason enjoyed being outdoors - riding his motorcycle, boating, camping, snowmobiling, and spending time with his friends. He was a car enthusiast – he loved his 1970 Javelin! Jason was family and relationship oriented, a person who was always helping others.

Jason is survived by his wife, Fonda; son, Jayce Lewis; parents, Charles and Susan Lewis; brother, Kevin (Tara) Lewis; father-in-law, Robert Kernen; mother-in-law, Kathleen (Gale Rawitzer) Eby; two brothers-in-law, Nicholas Kernen and Benjamin Kernen; sister-in-law, Hannah Kernen; and nieces, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at the BROOKLYN VILLAGE FIRE DEPARTMENT, 401 W. Main St., Brooklyn, at 12 noon on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Visitation will be held at the Fire Department from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
