Two of her most prideful moments were playing for The Fisk University Jubilee Singers while attending there and the Evangelist Katherine Kuhlman.

Josie and Sarah Frank, Kelly and Candace, and families - We are so sorry. My husband never knew Doris, but I have always been grateful that she found me a job and let me live rent-free in her townhouse in Alexandria so many years ago. My love for gospel music started because she let me listen to the Edwin Hawkins Singers and other artists. If I close my eyes and concentrate, I can still remember her on the piano. . . You have our deepest condolences. Linda (Harrison) McMullen and Walter.

My prayers and condolences to the family of Doris Hall. I was saddened to learn that Doris had passed. I met Doris back in the 80’s in Alexandria, Virginia at Alfred St Baptist Church. I was a member of the Voices of Triumph Choir and Doris was the pianist for the choir. We kept in touch over the years as friends on Facebook. I will miss seeing and reading her posts on there and her encouraging comments as she would reply to things I would post.
