Obituary
OREGON - Scott Brian Johnson, age 46, of Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. He was born on Nov. 13, 1975, in Illinois, the son of Nick and Janet (Shounk) Johnson.
Scott graduated from Evansville High School in 1995. He married Jennifer Lock on July 31, 2012, in Fitchburg. He worked as an operator for Hottmann Construction since 2012 and was a farmer his entire life.
Scott enjoyed being in nature and outdoors: sightseeing, hiking, camping, deer hunting and watching tractor pulls. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Riley. Scott was a jokester and was always making people laugh. He had a big heart and cared about everyone.
Scott is survived by his wife, Jennifer; three daughters, Samantha, Maria and Ashley Lock; grandson, Riley Lock; two sons, Keegan and Aden Johnson; mother, Janet; sister, Kendra (Jim) Stoltz; four brothers, Phil Johnson, Keith Johnson, Jared (Trinity) Johnson and Jeff (Heather) Johnson; parents-in-law, Gary and Linda Wackett; brother-in-law, James Wackett; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Nick.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, with a luncheon to follow at Brooklyn Community Center, 102 N. Rutland Ave., Brooklyn. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
