I worked with Connie in the beginning years of my lifelong career at The University of Wisconsin. She was a wonderful role model. My mother Jeanette was Connie‘s assistant for many years and she admired her greatly. What a wonderful life Connie lead. Bobbie Wang

My condolences on the loss of our beloved Connie.
Altho the list of volunteering she did could fill a book, my memory of her is the political aspect. She was ALWAYS ready, willing and able to take on an assignment for the good of the cause.
No task was too big or too small. She will be missed but not forgotten. She leaves an indelible mark on the community.
I feel privileged to call her friend.

Connie was a force, dignified and determined and irrepressible when on a mission. When I took office and launched an economic development initiative to boost the status of women, Connie provided extraordinary counsel informed by her long history — and she had the files and documents from critical work done decades before still in her basement. And she was a lesson in grace and good humor for all women born too soon to have a world ready for their best work. Barbara Lawton

I remember Connie for the strong feminist she was. She was a mentor to me in the women's movement. I learned so much from her.
