I am so sorry for your loss. Dan was more than a great official, he is the epitome of a great man. Dan left his mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to have met him. He wanted to help me mentor College Officials. As we entered the playoffs last year, he called me and exclaimed, "Jimmy.... It's playoff hockey!!!" I think he was more excited than the players. He was a man among men and the one of the most genuine people I have ever met. May he rest in heaven! ~ Jim Olson

My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. I'm a distant relative through his Grandfather Leonard and looked up some articles after learning of his passing. Even in those brief reads I wish I had known him. Me and my family send our Condolences.

KIm and Dan's family. I am sorry to hear about Dan's passing. I worked with Dan at several USA Hockey Summer Development camps. He was my favorite instructor to work with in the 20 years I worked the camps. I am also so glad we were able to induct Dan into the Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
