Obituary
MADISON- Kenneth Gene McConnell, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans’ Hospital. He was born on Jan. 31, 1943, in Madison, the son of Samuel and Olive (Emery) McConnell. He was united in marriage to Nieta McConnell in June, 2014.
Kenneth graduated from Madison Central High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 - 1964. He worked for Findorff, Boldt and M& I Bank. He was a member of Carpenter Local No. 314 and VFW Post No. 1318. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and snowmobiling, and playing football in his younger years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Nieta; son, Timothy McConnell; daughter, Marissa McConnell; stepdaughters, Tammy (Vance) Bingham and Penny (Edward) Heimann; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Hall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ruth Moore, Ralph McConnell, Judith Goodnature and Barbara McConnell.
