Khamon G. Uphoff

DEERFIELD/COTTAGE GROVE - Khamon Gerard Uphoff, age 27, of Deerfield, found peace on August 23, 2022 after a long struggle with depression.

He was born on March 6, 1995, in Madison, Wis., the son of Kendal and Donna (Dugan) Uphoff.  Khamon graduated from Monona Grove in 2013.  

Khamon worked on the family farm alongside his dad and brother and as a self-employed truck driver.

Khamon  enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing, camping, bonfires, boating, Subaru cars (both driving and building), and his dogs, Ozzie and Maverick. He loved being with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed being an uncle to his nephews.

Khamon is survived by his parents, Kendal and Donna Uphoff; two brothers, Kale (Sabrina) Uphoff, Keaton (Kaley) Uphoff; three sisters, Kelsie Uphoff, Kenna (Sam) Stein, Kenzie (Ryan) McCann; five nephews, Sage Uphoff, Abel Uphoff, Kayson Uphoff-Sustr, Kallahan McCann-Crittenden, Kashtyn Stein; nine aunts, Kim Zimmerman, Kae (Kim) Hubred, Karen (Dave) Borgurd, Kia (Nick) Uphoff, Katrina Uphoff, Char Dugan, Becky Bazan, Sarah Dugan, Becky Delahoussaye; four uncles, Kevin (Cheryl) Uphoff, Ken Berg, Dan (Carol) Dugan, Max (Joan) Bazan; his dear friend Nora Keip, and a shit ton of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by three uncles, Keir Uphoff, Patrick Dugan, Todd Dugan; aunt, Jane Berg; paternal grandparents, Donald  and Jacqueline Uphoff; and maternal grandparents, Eugene and Dorothy Dugan.

Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, followed by a graveside service at Cottage Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, at 2:30 p.m. A Celebration of his Life will take place at The Oaks Golf Course, 4740 Pierceville Rd.,Cottage Grove, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 with a time of sharing at 6:00 p.m.
