Fitchburg - Diane M. Kratochvil, age 56, of Fitchburg, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on Jan. 26, 1966, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Kenneth Bennett and Beverly (Adams) Mosel.
Diane graduated from La Follette High school in Madison. She married Randi Kratochvil on May 5, 1990, in Monona, Wis. Diane worked for Aramark for 33 years. She was an avid outdoors woman who loved snowmobiling, hunting for deer, morel mushrooms, and especially for turkeys.
Diane is survived by her husband, Randi; son, Tyler (Brianna) Kratochvil; grandchildren, Alex Curkeet and Peyton Kratochvil; mother and step-father, Bev and Jim Mosel; father, Kenneth Bennett; brothers, Mike (Jenny) Bennett and Troy (Jonna) Bennett; sisters, Cheyanne Mosel, Candy, Amy, Dawn, Kat, April and Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis “Curt” Kratochvil; grandchild, Brennan Lyle Kratochvil; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lyle and Rosella Kratochvil; step-mother, Marilyn Bennett; and many other relatives and friends.
Randi and Tyler would like to extend a special thank you to Aunt Ardith McKeown and to best friend, Mary Jo McKeown, for all the time, attention, love and dedication they put into helping Diane over the past years.
The family would also like to thank the medical staff at UW Hospital for the incredible care that was given.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
