CROSS PLAINS - Bruce David Laufenberg, age 54, of Cross Plains, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, with his niece/goddaughter, Caitlin, by his side. He was born on Jan. 28, 1968, in Madison, the son of Ralph and Carol (Uselman) Laufenberg.
Bruce married Lori Schultz on Sept. 18, 1993, in Cross Plains. He worked as a small engine mechanic for Middleton Power Center for 30-plus years. He enjoyed tractor pulling and being outdoors, whether he was hunting, camping or snowmobiling. He had the know how to fix just about anything, he was a man of many talents.
Bruce is survived by wife, Lori; sons, Nicholas (Marla) and Trevor (Bailey); siblings, Debby Hellenbrand, Randall (Carlos Paulino Perez) Laufenberg, Kari (Terry) Meffert and Scott (Nicole) Laufenberg; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Neal Hellenbrand.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at HAWKS NEST, 7914 State Road 19, Dane, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022.
