Ruth Esther (Maurer) Heins

Larry and I were so blessed to have had Dick and Ruth, along with their children, in our lives. In my work with Dick at CUNA Mutual and later at Heins BusinessGroup, I often had the pleasure of coordinating things that impacted and/or involved Ruth and even the extended family. It was a true pleasure. Ruth was so kind and always there if needed. We loved getting to spend time hearing her interesting life stories. You knew where she stood as fervently dedicated to her husband, Dick, and her children. We will never forget you all. Few people get to have jobs that bring such a wonderful family into your life. So sorry for the loss of Ruth. I was her hairdresser for many years. She will be deeply missed by me and the others at the salon. We had many great talks . She was a true friend. miss you Ruth!

Tom and I were fortunate to know Ruth over a period of many years while traveling with Ruth and Doc on business trips with CUNA Mutual. We remember one trip in particular spending the day with Ruth in the mountains near Colorado Springs. We had our three sons with us and we all enjoyed her enthusiasm and fun and she was always curious to explore or learn about the places she visited. We treasure the wonderful personal letters she sent at Christmas time. She was a very caring person and always enjoyed our sharing of news back-and-forth.
