MIDDLETON - Eleanor Agnes Anunson, age 98, died surrounded by family on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022. She was born on July 25, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes Patton.
Eleanor married Howard G. Anunson Sr. on April 16, 1949, in Towanda, Pa. She was a beloved wife and mother, devoted to her family. Eleanor was also a deeply religious person. She was always very active in church, serving in various positions and she loved to volunteer in schools. She loved being by the ocean and spent her early retirement years taking many long walks along the beach in Alabama.
Survivors include her son, Howard Jr.; daughter, Gail (Terry) Lindow; three grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Wolfe, Mark (Kristin) Anunson and Ellee Lindow; five great-grandchildren, Kyra, Krista, and Grant Wolfe, and Braden and Madelyn Anunson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Sr.; brother, Samuel Patton Jr.; and her sister, Barbara Patton.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. There will be a private graveside service on Wednesday in Neenah, Wis.
