STOUGHTON/EDGERTON-Colton J. Oren, age 31, of Stoughton and Edgerton ascended with his last breath on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, completing an exhausting journey.
Colton was born Sept. 6, 1990, to Kevin and Lanette (Hoare) Oren. His family moved to a country home in Edgerton in 1994 and he grew up having an adventurous childhood with his siblings. Colton’s childhood was full of everything from motor sports, hunting, fishing, farming, baseball, wrestling, football, FFA, 4H and numerous other interests and activities. He most recently enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, reading and focusing on personal growth. Colton was passionate about grilling and cooking and was a master of the meats!
Colton was employed as a material handler, blender operator and extrusion operator for many years between Cargill in Milton and GOEX in Janesville. He also worked for Speedway Sand & Gravel as a laborer and pipe layer alongside his brother and his father. Colton had brilliant math skills and could problem solve on the fly.
Colton was always calm and understanding. He was always a big help as he had strength and could take on big things by himself. Colton’s character was warm, genuine, loving, kind and generous and he was very close to all who knew him. His personality, spirit and authenticity were bright and the little ones in the family adored him.
Colton is survived closest by his mother, Lanette; his brother, Jordan (Brittany) Oren of Janesville; his sister, Sierra (Andy) Ylvisaker of Stoughton; his aunts, Ronelle (Stuart) Escher of Sun Prairie and Darlynn Joy and her son, Weston Hoare-Baltes of Stoughton and Brooklyn; his dog, Ace; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Colton was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Oren; and his grandparents, Neil and Lenore Hoare and Robert and Donna Oren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at:
