BROOKLYN - Terry Kathleen Leonard, age 75, of Brooklyn, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare with her loved ones by her side. She was born on Aug. 3, 1947, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Hillis Buxton and Evelyn (Mahaffy) Schulz.
Terry graduated from Oregon High School, after which she moved to California, where she met the love of her life, Dannie. They were united in marriage on May 30, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They enjoyed their time together at the beach and traveling on their motorcycles. They moved back to Wisconsin in 1987. Prior to retirement, Terry enjoyed a career as an office manager for Unified Newspaper Group.
Terry loved life and always found joy in the little things. She loved fashion and shopping. She enjoyed reading, watching drama TV shows, observing wildlife through her windows, and cheering for the Badgers, Packers, and LA Lakers. She always looked forward to celebrating holidays at her house and cooking for everyone.
She was adored by all who met her. She doted on her granddaughters and would do anything for them. Everyone was always welcome, and in a way, Terry was everyone’s grandma.
Terry is survived by her husband, Dannie; brothers, Steven (Emilie) Schulz and Doug (Bobbi) Buxton; and granddaughters, Chelsey Schulz (John Van Pelt) and Lindsey Schulz. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Buck Johnson.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022.
