Obituary
MADISON - Allan Dale “Al” Sanders, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at Stoughton Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1939, in Merrill, Wis., the son of Melvin and Lillian (Zastrow) Sanders.
Al graduated from Clintonville High School. He married Judi (Bibow) on March 9, 1963, in Madison, Wis. Together, they had two children, Tim and Chris, and numerous dogs!
Al was employed as a salesman for Sears, retiring in 2000. He had a passion for cars and bought and sold several of them throughout his lifetime. He also raced stock cars in the early 1960s.
Allan is survived by his wife, Judi; son, Timothy Sanders; daughter, Christin (Melvin) Veasley; four grandchildren, Madison (Noah) Lambert, Chance Sanders, Grace Veasley and Faith Veasley; great-grandchild, Sai; sister, Marilynn Suerhing; sisters-in-law, Kitty and Anita; brothers-in-law, Larry (Sharon) and Jim; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin M. Sanders; mother, Lillian Minna Nau; and three brothers, Ronald, David and Jim.
A funeral service will be held at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1701 McKenna Blvd., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, with Pastor Philip Moldenhauer presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
