Teresa Lynn Kahel

MADISON - Teresa Lynn” Teri” Kahel, age 55, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital due to complication of diabetes. She was born on May 13, 1967, in Santa Barbara, Calif., the daughter of Lyle and Sharon (Domholt) Neuleib.

Teri worked as an administrative assistant and was able to work alongside the CEO at Men’s Warehouse for over five years. She also was the district coordinator for CERT - Community Emergency Response Team in California, where she trained young adults to protect themselves and others during natural disasters. Teri then worked at UW Hospital in Nursing Operations Support, a job she truly loved.

Teri had an adventurous spirit, always wanting to see new things and to live in different cities. She enjoyed reading and dancing. Teri treasured the time she was able to spend at parks near the water with friends and family and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.  

Teri is survived by her daughters, Cassandra Kahel and Tammy (Bruce Johnson) Kahel; her father, Lyle (Diane) Neuleib; brothers, Cevin (Judy) Reed, Corey Reed and Mat (Laura) Reed; along with other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon.

A private service will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery in Fergus Falls, Minn.
