Obituary
MADISON - Marylou Bergeman, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was born on Jan. 26, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Howard and Nata (Aberly) Bambrough.
Marylou graduated from East High School. She married James Harold Bergeman on March 17, 1951, in Dubuque, Iowa. Marylou worked in food service for the Madison schools for many years.
Marylou and James loved spending time with their family, especially their grandkids. They were their children’s and grandchildren’s biggest supporters at their sporting events and were also avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fans. Marylou always looked forward to road tripping to Louisiana to see her sister. She owned her dream car, a green Volkswagen Beetle. Marylou enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting and flower gardening. She loved finding treasures and good deals at thrift stores and garage sales. She enjoyed watching her soaps and baking for her family. She loved the companionship of her dogs, especially Maddie.
Marylou is survived by her three sons, James H. (Rene' Bain) Bergeman, Jr., John (Linda) Bergeman and Jerry (Barb) Bergeman; three daughters, Sue (Jim) Mohr, Peggy (Mike) Hariu and Jill (John Coyle) Hagerty; sister-in-law, Marian Stoflet; brother-in-law, Harold (Judy) Bergeman Sr.; grandchildren, Kristi (Bill), Juston (Lisa) , James, Jeff (Jennyfer), Lindsey (Eric), Eric, Travis, Nick (Ashley), Brett, Melissa (Kasim), Casey, Adam and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Shelby, Blaine, Brooks, Fisher, Emma, Hayden, Myrah, Liyana, Eva Lou and Grady James; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents; brother, George Bambrough; sister, Pat (Dale) Blanchet; sister-in-law, Janet Reinke; brother-in-law, Merlin Stoflet; granddaughter, Missy Giese; and nephew, Harold Bergeman, Jr.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date per Marylou’s wishes.
