George Wilson Mead II

I remember my brothers wedding, in which George was the brides uncle. We had a wonderful time sitting and talking, about everything. George was just another person having a good time....RIP

We send the Mead family our most sincere condolences. Because George was so busy during the Consolidated years, I was never able to actually speak to him while I was employed at Consolidated Papers. Later on when George had more time he was still very busy taking care of the Foundation. I am amazed at all his accomplishments and I personally thank the Mead family for their long-time support of the Wisconsin Rapids area.

I met George very late in his life. He would come in to eat with his wife at a resturaunt I worked at. He was very kind and very interested in hearing about my life and family. He was a very genuine man.
