I had so much admiration for David-his sharp mind, incredible way of connecting with others and seeing the big picture, his tenacity toward a vision-WIHA and our Aging Network has lost an advocate, kind heart and leader-my deepest condolences to the family he loved

Met Dave & Carrie through our friend Bari. He was larger than life and we shared a Fresno connection. He advised me this year about standup and what a joyous surprise it was to see him onstage performing at Comedy on State! His set literally raised the roof with laughter. The host commented on wanting to hear every audiobook in Dave’s voice. When Dave got off he saw me and said something most encouraging. Wonderful, wonderful person! He’s dearly missed, but will never, ever be forgotten.

Dave was one of the very first people to welcome me when I started in career advising at UW. We partnered all the time when he was over in PoliSci, and then for a time he worked with us as L&S Career Services transitioned to SuccessWorks. He and I talked often about theatre, his kids and his love of standup. I dearly miss this big bear of a man with the gentle nature and the warm smile. Sending love to the whole family.
