Joanne Catherine Squire

WAUNAKEE - Joanne Squire, age 94, of Waunakee, passed away on Sept. 20, 2022, at Skaalen Nursing Home. She was born on Sept. 12, 1928, in Lodi, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Werla) Endres.

Joanne married Harold Squire at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Madison. She worked in data entry at the State of Wisconsin, retiring in 1987.

Joanne enjoyed shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She also enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions and flea markets. Joanne always looked forward to going to visit her sister in Las Vegas and going to the casinos. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Madison.

Joanne is survived by her two sons, Robert (Diane) Squire and Roger (Linda) Squire; three daughters, JoEllen (Don) Bigelow, Debra (Randy) Regel and Vicki Page; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Edith Fillner and Laura Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Squire; parents, Joseph and Katherine Endres; sisters, Rita, Kathleen, Martinella and Ruthann; and brother, Donald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, Skaalen Nursing Home Magnolia Gardens, or Agrace HospiceCare.
