Paul A Swenson

Oregon - Paul A. Swenson, age 84, of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Sienna Meadows. He was born on Dec. 6, 1937, in Madison, the son of Arthur and Lucille (McCann) Swenson.

Paul graduated from Central High School. He married Mary (Roberts) Swenson on Sept. 24, 1983, in Madison. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Paul owned and operated Paul Swenson Insurance Agency for many years.

Paul loved history and had a talent for drawing and painting. He was active, often swimming and running. Paul performed with Zor Shrine Pipes and Drums for over 40 years. He was a devout Catholic and was a longtime member of Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mary; eight children, Steven Zielsdorf, David (Patsy) Zielsdorf, Laura Kaltenberg, Gabrielle Swenson, Lillianna Swenson, Scott (Devonna) Swenson, Craig Swenson and Stephen (Nicole) Swenson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022.
