Hoa Tran

Beaver Dam - Hoa Tu Tran, age 65, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was born on March 17, 1957, in Vietnam, the daughter of Phat Tran and Din Thi Tran. She immigrated to the United States in 1981 as a refugee of the Vietnam War.

Hoa graduated with a diploma from Cao Bang High School in Vietnam. She married Khieng Backham in Prairie du Chien, Wis., on July 26, 1985. She was a homemaker who devoted herself to caring for her family; she was the eldest of seven children and gave birth to six children of her own.

Hoa is survived by her husband, Khieng; sons, Steven Hoang, David Hoang, Michael Hoang, and Johnson Hoang; daughters, Olivia Hoang and Wendy Hoang; mother, Din Thi Tran; siblings, Mary Tran, John Tran, Alice Tran, Nien Tran, Kien Tran, and Amy Tran; and many more family members. She was preceded in death by father, Phat Tran.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, Wis., until the time of the service on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation, which will be followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
