MADISON - Etta Marie Schulz passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, her 91st birthday. She was born on July 15, 1931, to Alden and Lucille Ahrensmeyer, in Madison, Wis.
Etta was a Madison East High School graduate. On June 20, 1953, she married Arthur Schulz. They bought a house on the east side of Madison and this is where they raised their two sons.
Etta's interests included cooking, baking and gardening. She was a master at all three. Her backyard was a feast for the eyes with all the flowers she tended to. Etta utilized the vegetables and fruits in her garden for baking goodies for her family and neighbors. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Etta is survived by her son, James (Luanne) Schulz; granddaughter, Kim (Paul) Metcalf; and a great -granddaughter, Ellie. She is further survived by her cousin, Jan Hansen; sister-in-law, Lynn Schulz; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Schulz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur “Ozzie”; parents-in-law, Arthur and Ida Schulz; brother-in-law, Keith McAdams; sister-in-law, Ginny McAdams; brother-in-law, Tom Schulz; and son, Jack Schulz.
We will never forget how easily Etta laughed and how she enjoyed the simplest of life's pleasures.
