Obituary
MADISON - Delores M. Grady, age 99, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Oak Park Place. She was born on Nov. 26, 1922, in Madison, the daughter of Melvin and Erna (Niederkloppfer) Bakken.
Delores graduated from Madison East High School. She married William A. Grady on Nov. 13, 1946, in Verona. Delores worked at Kresge’s on the Capitol Square and in food service at Schenk School for many years. She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church and the East Side Club. She enjoyed going to a family cottage on Lake Petenwell, making jewelry, garage sales, spending time with her grandchildren and trips to Las Vegas. In the rare moments she sat still, she enjoyed reading and soaking up the sun on her screen porch. Delores was proud to live in her home right up until her passing, thanks to her can-do spirit and supportive family and neighbors.
Delores is survived by her son, John Grady; two grandchildren, Rachel Kleibor and Brian (Jessica) Grady; four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Henry Kleibor, and Jack and Gus Grady; and sister, Shirley (Jr.) Erickson; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, William, she was preceded in death by her son, William Carl Grady; four brothers, Carl, Bob, Ron and Wilbur Bakken; and sister, Mary Ellen Tetzlaff.

A private graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.
