Kathleen Ann Ballweg

MIDDLETON - Kathleen A. Ballweg, age 70, of Middleton, slipped her mortal coils on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. She was born at Madison General on June 5, 1952, and was raised in Middleton. She was smart, adventurous and confident, and she loved her family and friends very much.

While living in Madison, she went from cooking at Rennebohm’s in high school to selling shoes at Manchester’s. Then, she fell in love with San Francisco and moved out West, where she continued to work in the shoe business. She managed The Little Daisy in the Embarcadero Center then in Strawberry Village in Mill Valley, Calif. Eventually, Kathleen fulfilled a childhood dream of being a flight attendant, first with TWA and then with Delta. As “Carry A. Tray,” the name on her flight wings, she walked across the Atlantic Ocean, from her NYC base to many destinations worldwide.

Kathleen leaves earthbound her sister, Georgette; and her nephew, Martin (Carys). She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda; dad, George; mom, Margaret; and two excellent dog companions and friends, Tisher and Laika.

At her request, Kathleen will be cremated and her remains placed in a pre-9/11 Chock Full o' Nuts can showing the Twin Towers. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
