Uncle Bill told me about The Beast roller coaster at Kings Island (Ohio) years - actually decades - ago when he was into these sorts of things. I managed to ride this coaster over a dozen times one night during a “business trip” to Dayton OH based on his suggestion, and it truly was a remarkable evening enjoying each and every ride in all possible seat positions. I was the only one riding on most of those rides late into the evening 😂! I’ll never forget Uncle Bill’s excitement when I told him what I’d done years later. It is that sense of things, in a way his wry sense of things, that I miss and will continue to miss. Also his never ending wit and humor. I was saddened to hear of his passing but am strengthened by having known Bill as Uncle Bill. Blessings, thoughts and prayers to Aunt Pat and cousin Shannon, and the rest of the extended Ballhorn family. Paul (and Sue) Metcalf

It was my fortune to have met Bill on the job before his retirement from the State. My misfortune to have lost touch with him. I’m sorry to hear of his passing, and offer a prayer that family and friends find comfort in their grief.
