Obituary

OREGON - Karyn Ann Morell (nee Scheid), passed away unexpectedly at her home in Oregon, Wis., on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born on June 9, 1955, to Daniel and Marietta (nee Martin) Scheid in Fort Atkinson, Wis., where she graduated from high school.


The family moved to McFarland, Wis., where Karyn attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics in 1977. Karyn was married to David L. Morell on June 5, 1976. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher, and later owned and operated three kindergarten and day care centers in the Madison area. She operated the centers for over 25 years. After selling the business, Karyn became an accountant, and most recently worked for CliftonLarsonAllen in Middleton, Wis.


Children were Karyn's love and passion, and she adored and doted on her son, Bryan, and three granddaughters, Alex, Elly and LilyAnn. She loved going to the zoo and doing other adventures with them.


Karyn is survived by her husband, David L. Morell; and their son, Bryan D. Morell, both of Oregon, Wis.; granddaughters, Alexandria Rose Morell, Elly Skye Morell and LilyAnn River Morell of Albany, Wis.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Kay Scheid. She was predeceased by her parents; and an older brother, Dr. Terry Scheid.


She did not pass away, but rather passed into eternal glory, laughter and joy beyond description! We know that she is in heaven because she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10).  One of her favorite Bible scriptures was Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT): "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."


A celebration of her life will be held at Christ the King Church in Stoughton, Wis., with time and date yet to be determined.
